SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wireless communication, it can be used to determine the time of receiving a search call message. The method includes: determination by the terminal device of the first radio frame; determination by the terminal device of the time interval for transmitting the search call signal to track the search call message in accordance with the first radio frame, wherein the time interval for transmitting the search call signal contains the first radio frame; and tracking by the terminal device of the search call message in the time interval for transmitting the search call signal.

EFFECT: terminal device can determine the time interval of transmitting the search call signal to track the search call message according to the radio frame determined by the terminal device and the position in which the radio frame is located in the time interval of transmitting the search call signal, and tracks the search call message in the time interval of transmitting the search call signal, and thus the terminal device can also effectively determine the time of receiving the search call message, if the period of transmitting the search call message is identical to the period of the general signal, such as the synchronization signal.
