FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in agriculture in the selection of stable varieties of potato to a Colorado beetle. The method consists in detecting in a hybrid population of plants carrying genes of resistance to said insect, for which purpose a small drop of 40% alcohol from egg laying of the Colorado beetle is applied to a leaf plate. Stable genotypes develop a reaction of excess sensitivity of a leaf plate in the form of a necrotic spot.
EFFECT: technical result is a reduction in the labour intensity of selection.
