SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to an electronic computing device (100) for converting an object position for an audio object from a Cartesian representation (110) to a spherical representation (112). The specified technical result is provided by the fact that the base zone of the Cartesian representation is subdivided into a plurality of triangles (630, 532, 634, 636) in the base zone, and the plurality of triangles (660, 662, 664, 666) in the spherical region are inscribed in the circle of the spherical representation. The electronic computing device is configured to determine in which of the triangles in the base zone the projection (P) of the object position for the audio object is placed on the base zone, and also with the ability to determine the transformed projection position (P) of the object position using a linear transformation that converts the triangle into the base zone into its associated triangle in the spherical area. The device is made with the ability to extract the azimuth angle (ϕ) and the value of the intermediate radius from the transformed position, as well as with the ability to obtain the value of the radius of the spherical region and the angle of elevation depending on the value of the intermediate radius and depending on the distance (z) of the position of the object relative to the base zone. Also proposed are electronic computing devices for converting the position of an object for an audio object from a spherical representation to a Cartesian representation, methods for providing an audio stream, generating audio content, playing audio, as well as a computer-readable medium with a computer program for implementing these methods.
