FIELD: solid waste processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of solid waste processing. A method for composting solid waste containing organic substances is proposed, according to which the compostable material is placed on a rectangular waterproof area, covered with a semi-permeable film and a hermetic connection of the film with the perimeter of the rectangular area is provided. Through the aeration channels located along the rectangular area, by means of a fan, air is blown into the volume of the compost material. After laying the compostable material, it is irrigated with 5 to 10% urea solution at the rate of 1 to 5 liters per 1 m³ of compostable material; during composting, the slope of the rectangular waterproof platform to the aeration channels ensures uniform drainage of the compost liquid into them. At negative outside temperatures, heating cables are turned on by means of the control unit to heat the aeration channels.

EFFECT: provides shorter composting times.
