FIELD: environmental protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental protection, reforestation, agricultural biotechnology and ecology and can be used to maintain soil fertility and restore or create soil cover on disturbed territories. Soil contains compost, peat, a mineral component in the form of loam and sand. Additionally, soil contains ground blast-furnace slag. Low-lying peat with neutral reaction is used, and compost is obtained by aerobic biothermal composting of food wastes in a mixture with wood chips in a climatic chamber under a semi-permeable membrane, a sub-screen fraction after separation through sieve of 3-8 cm. Obtained compost is a mixture of humic organic matter 35-50 wt.% and a fermented fraction of wood wastes 50-65 wt.%, pH 7.5-8.0, with the following ratio of components, wt.%: compost – 50-60, mineral component in the form of loam and/or sand – 25-35, low-lying peat with pH close to neutral – 5-25, ground blast-furnace slag – 1.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of new soil on the basis of compost from food wastes for creation of fertile layer on territories with their absence or on territories exposed to contamination, which prevents self-renewal of vegetation without bioremediation.
