FIELD: municipal engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of municipal engineering and is intended to remove ice deposits from the surface of sidewalks and other paths for pedestrians. The device for chipping off ice deposits from sidewalks contains a trolley, an impact mechanism, a cutter and a power unit. The trolley includes a mounting platform, two mounted wheels and a handle. The impact mechanism is located in the front part of the trolley and includes an electromagnetic coil attached to the mounting platform and a frame installed under the mounting platform with a central impact element rigidly fixed to it and at least three rows of peripheral impact elements evenly distributed along the length of the frame, placed in guides coaxial with them mounting platform holes. In this case, the upper part of the central striking element is made in the form of an electromagnetic coil core, and the rear parts of the central and peripheral impact elements are provided with springs. The power unit is located at the rear of the trolley and includes an electric drive installed on the platform, which is equipped with a belt drive with a cutter installed in the lower part of the mounting platform, and a power supply and control element that provides an adjustable current supply to the electric drive and an electromagnetic coil.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the efficiency of chipping off ice deposits from sidewalks and other paths of pedestrian traffic.
