FIELD: plasma technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of plasma technique and plasma technology, more specifically to methods for modifying polymer products in low-pressure gas discharges, which is carried out to give hydrophilicity to hydrophobic polymer materials, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polytetrafluoroethylene, etc. The installation contains a vacuum chamber, a vacuum system, a holder, and a polymer sample. Two electrodes are located opposite each other in the vacuum chamber, between which the ceramic holder with the polymer sample is installed for further modification. The electrodes are equipped with a preheating system connected to a power source, with the possibility of regulating their location relatively to the plane of the base of the vacuum chamber. The electrodes are fixed to the ball-joint support using pressure bolts and a pressure plate with the possibility of regulating the degree of modification of the polymer sample. The ball-joint support is fixed in the base of the vacuum chamber.

EFFECT: increase and regulation of the degree of modification of the sample surface while maintaining the physical, mechanical, electro-physical and optical properties.
