FIELD: performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of modifying properties of the surface of plastic threads. Result is achieved by a method of modifying properties of the surface of plastic filaments, which involves treating the plastic filament PLA in plasma of a volumetric self-sustained glow discharge of atmospheric pressure in argon. Processing is carried out at discharge current of up to 3 mA. PLA filament is continuously drawn through the discharge plasma at rate of 4 mm⋅s-1.

EFFECT: improved adhesion and sorption properties of the surface of the plastic thread PLA, efficiency, productiveness and simplification of the processing process and reduction of its cost.
