SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the inhibition of paraffin deposition. The composition of the paraffin deposition depressor contains a polymer that contains residues of α-olefins and ester, or residues of α-olefins and imide. A method for inhibiting the deposition of solid paraffins during storage and transportation of crude oil includes the use of a paraffin depressor composition in the composition of crude oil and the effect of a temperature in the range from 4°C to -60°C on a composition based on crude oil and a paraffin deposition depressor.
EFFECT: an inhibition of the deposition of solid paraffins in crude oil-based compositions, a reduced tendency to deposition, gelation and/or crystallization from hydrocarbon media under the influence of stable low temperatures.
