FIELD: fire extinguishing.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to products and means of fire extinguishing. The fireproof product consists of an aqueous solution containing a hydroxylated carbon-based component, an intumescent agent suitable for at least partial or even complete dehydration of the hydroxylated carbon-based component so as to form a carbon-containing foam under the heat effect, a thixotropic agent selected so that its viscosity increases as a result of the addition of water in the absence of a shear force, where the solution has a sufficiently high concentration of the hydroxylated carbon-based component and the intumescent agent, so that when water is added to the specified solution, its viscosity increases in the absence of a shear force. The content of the hydroxylated carbon-based component is more than 12.5 wt.%. The diluted fireproof product is obtained by diluting the above-described fireproof product with water. The mass ratio of the added water to the total mass of the diluted product is more than 0.8. The flame extinguishing device includes a tank with the above-described fireproof product, a sprinkler-type device connected to the specified tank, and optionally a device for diluting the product coming out of the tank and fed into the sprinkler-type device. The preparation of the above-described fireproof product includes the following successive stages: a) preparation of a solution containing the intumescent agent and the hydroxylated carbon-based component, and optionally water to form an intumescent system that forms the carbon-containing foam under the heat effect; b) mixing of the thixotropic agent with the solution obtained at stage a); where the solution obtained at the end of stage a) is such that the total content of the hydroxylated carbon-based component and the intumescent agent is more than 95 wt. % relatively to the mass contained in the saturated solution, at which saturation is achieved, where the thixotropic agent is selected in such a way that the addition of water to the solution obtained at the end of stage b) leads to an increase in its viscosity in the absence of a shear force, and when a shear force is applied to the solution obtained at the end of stage b), its viscosity decreases. To extinguish the flame, i) dilution of a concentrated fireproof product is carried out to obtain a diluted fireproof product; ii) a shear force is applied to the diluted fireproof product to reduce its viscosity; iii) the diluted and subjected to a shear force fireproof product is applied to the base.
EFFECT: invention provides for effective attachment of the product to the base, for example, to wood, to the wall of a storage tank, in particular a storage tank for hydrocarbon materials, or to the wall of a building when sprayed without using high pressure.
