FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to domestic and medical equipment, particularly to recirculators for air disinfection by ultraviolet irradiation. The recirculator for air disinfection by ultraviolet irradiation with induced air stream convection includes at least two actuating elements located within a closed volume wherein the air stream formed by fans passes through said volume, wherein the elements consist of a set of semiconductor ultraviolet radiation diodes, a power unit, a thermal stabilisation unit of the actuating element and a control unit of the apparatus. The actuating elements therein are made in form of flat dielectric plates whereon tultraviolet diodes with two-sided arrangement of emitting surfaces relative to each dielectric plate are located, wherein the distance between the actuating elements cannot exceed the pitch of the diode placement on the dielectric plate, and the maximum number of diodes located on one dielectric plate equals n=L/(a+b), where L is the vertical section of the air stream in the body of the recirculator, a is the gap between the ultraviolet diodes equal to the diode pitch, b is the width of the ultraviolet diode.
EFFECT: proposed invention provides increased reliability, excluded possibility of dispersing toxic mercury vapors and increased power density of UV radiation affecting microorganisms in the air stream.
