SPINAL CORD DIAGNOSTIC AND TREATMENT DEVICE Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61N1/00

Abstract RU 2751820 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to neurosurgery, neurotraumatology, and can be used as a device implanted into the epidural space for the treatment of traumatic and degenerative spinal cord injuries. The diagnostic and treatment device contain a light guide 7 with a working area at the distal end of the catheter. The light guide 7 is made planar in the form of two extended transparent polymeric tapes. Each light guide tape contains at least two transparency windows. Titanium microstrip electrodes 8, 9, 10, 11 (at least 4) are located in the working area of the light guide 7 on isolated isolated areas along the edges of the front surfaces of the emitting and receiving sections. In the proximal part of the catheter 6 there are elements for connecting to an optical radiation source, an electric pulse generator and an EHF generator.

EFFECT: invention increases effectiveness of treatment while expanding functionality through the implementation of not only therapy, but also diagnostics.
