SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to technologies of images encoding and decoding. A method for internal prediction is proposed. According to the method, the encoding unit is divided, based on the segmentation information of the encoding unit, into a set of sub-units. The segmentation information includes at least one of the first segmentation information indicating whether the encoding unit should be divided into four sub-units, the second segmentation information indicating whether the encoding unit should be divided into two sub-units, or the third segmentation information indicating the direction of segmentation. Next, the encoding order of the mentioned sub-units is determined based on the segmentation information.

EFFECT: increase in image processing performance by taking into account segmentation information in internal prediction.
