SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image encoding and decoding technology. Result is achieved by the fact that, based on segmentation information of the coding unit, said coding unit is divided into a plurality of subunits, wherein the segmentation information includes an indication to divide into four or two sub-blocks or an indication of the direction of segmentation; further, generating a predictive block of each subblock based on the coding order of the subblocks, wherein if the segmentation information indicates to be divided into four subblocks, the coding unit is divided into four subblocks with half the size along the horizontal and half the size along the vertical.
EFFECT: high efficiency of image processing.
