FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to a titanium alloy. A titanium alloy in form of a plate or a sheet containing, wt.%: C 0.10 to 0.30; N 0.001 to 0.03; S 0.001 to 0.03; P 0.001 to 0.03; Si 0.001 to 0.10; Fe 0.01 to 0.3; H 0.015 or less; O 0.25 or less, and Ti and inevitable impurities the rest, wherein the surface layer is formed by a single α-phase. The method for producing a titanium alloy in form of a plate or a sheet includes performing final thermal treatment of the titanium alloy at a temperature of 750 to 820 °C and cooling at a rate of 0.001 °C/s or more and 2000 °C/s or less.
EFFECT: alloy is characterised by high corrosion resistance while maintaining high treatability.
