SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to titanium α-β alloy, characterized by high machinability of cutting. Titanium α-β alloy contains, wt. %: Cu 0.1–2.0, Ni 0.1–2.0, Al 2.0–8.5, C 0.08–0.25, Cr 0–4.5 and/or Fe 0–2.5 with their total content of 1.0–7.0, Ti and unavoidable impurities are the rest.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high strength, excellent hot machinability and high machinability of cutting.
