FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and concerns a formaldehyde-free fixative of a biomaterial for histological and immunohistochemical studies, including oxalic aldehyde and water, containing tetramethylolglycoluryl to improve the quality of fixation, ethyl, isopropyl or methyl alcohol to increase the permeability, potassium dihydrophosphate as a pH modifier, at the following ratio, weight percentage: oxalic aldehyde 8-10, tetramethylolglycoluryl 1-3, alcohol 10-60, potassium dihydrogen phosphate 0.1-0.3, water up to 100.
EFFECT: invention provides for the creation of a formaldehyde-free fixative that has fixing properties and preserves the structure of tissues, which is manifested in the preservation of the histoarchitectonics of the organ, the structure of cells, their nuclei and cytoplasm, and also ensures the fixation of tissue pieces of 5-7 mm in size to the entire depth.
