SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of optical waveguides. The waveguide is designed to transmit light to the target region, and the waveguide contains an input diffraction optical element (DOE), multiplying DOE and output DOE, and the multiplying DOE and output DOE are segmented, and the period and effective thickness of the diffraction structure of each segment of the output DOE and multiplying DOE are associated with the location of the said target region in such a way that for radiation output from the waveguide in the direction of the target region, the diffraction efficiency is maximum.

EFFECT: possibility of selecting different parameters of diffraction optical elements for different regions of the waveguide.
