FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: when communicating with the base station, the user equipment (UE) determines the physical uplink control channel (hereinafter – PUCCH) resource and the PUCCH format and transmits the uplink control information (hereinafter – UCI) over the PUCCH resource using the PUCCH format. If the PUCCH format is a 2-character PUCCH and is up to 2 bits, the UCI is repeated in two characters by repeating the 1-character PUCCH. If the PUCCH format exceeds 2 bits, the UCI is encoded together, the encoded UCI bits are distributed over two characters, and, if the UCI includes a HARQ-ACK and a scheduling request (hereinafter – SR), the SR bits are attached to the HARQ-ACK bits and the SR bits and the HARQ-ACK bits are co-encoded.
EFFECT: increased flexibility of data exchange.
