FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. Each sipe wall surface of a pair of sipe wall surfaces formed on a tread portion of a pneumatic tire comprises, along the sipe depth direction, at least two apex portions and at least one recess portion that bend like waves at different positions in the longitudinal direction of the first slots. When looking at the slot along the depth direction of the slot, the depth of the recess of the recess portion from the apex portion on one wall surface of the wall surfaces of the slot varies depending on the position in the longitudinal direction, the recess portion extending from the position at which the recess depth is maximum towards the position in which the depth of the recess is minimum, the depth of the recess decreasing as the recess portion extends from the side of the maximum depth recess portion towards the maximum apex portion. A sipe is provided in at least one of a first tread half region on a first side and a second tread half region on a second side in the tire lateral direction.
EFFECT: invention improves the separation of the mold from the tire during tire manufacture; increases the rigidity of the slotted treads to resist compression-deformation and shear deformation.
