FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a system for supporting medical decision-making. In the method, non-personalised medical data is received from electronic medical records stored in the medical information system; clinically relevant unmarked information is extracted from the received textual medical data; the extracted data is pre-processed and indexed, including detection and correction of typos and errors, the information is checked for acceptable values by using algorithms for retrieving indicators and medical ontologies; the structured data array generated at the previous stage is analysed, resulting in identification of risk factors based on decision rules formed considering scientific medical publications and clinical guidelines; the obtained data for each patient is automatically marked considering the identified risk factors; based on the data from the previous stage, a data packet containing the identified risk factors and the indicators necessary to estimate the risks and identify suspected hidden diseases is formed; the degree of risks of diseases is estimated by applying the decision rules and machine learning based on the identified risk factors and indicators required for estimation of risks and identified suspected hidden diseases; the obtained estimation of the degree of risks of diseases is analysed, resulting in determining the degree of risk of diseases, wherein the resulting estimation of risk is determined according to nosology as the maximum estimation throughout all methods applied to this nosology; a package of individual clinical guidelines is formed based on the obtained risk factors and the degree of risk for each nosology; the formed package of guidelines is returned to the medical information system wherein said package is displayed on a screen in the user interface.
