FIELD: metal processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of metals by pressure and can be used for hot pressing of rods made of the heat-resistant nickel-based alloy VZH175-VI, containing 50-60% of the strengthening γ' phase, used for further processing. The method for production of rods with a diameter of less than 60 mm from the heat-resistant nickel-based alloy VZH175-VI by hot extrusion involves placing a workpiece made of VZH175-VI alloy in a shell and pressing it in a matrix. The workpiece is obtained by multistage pressing at a temperature of 1090±10°C with a degree of deformation of 65% and with intermediate recrystallization annealing between stages at a temperature of 1050±10°C for at least 6 hours, the resulting workpiece is placed in a shell in the form of a steel shell, to the end surfaces of which cylindrical and conical washers are welded, the workpiece placed in the shell is pressed at a temperature of 1090±10°C with a degree of deformation of 80% with the production of rods, after which the thermal and mechanical processing of the obtained rods is performed. Rods with a diameter of less than 60 mm have a homogeneous fine-grained structure, are characterized by high mechanical properties.

EFFECT: new method for producing metal rods is proposed.
