FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas industry, in particular to the research of wells using an autonomous power supply of downhole equipment. The downhole power supply for downhole equipment includes at least one housing with paired cavities, made with the possibility of filling with downhole fluid to generate electrical energy using different potential electrodes, a control unit, a voltage monitoring unit, a cascade diode voltage multiplier (VM), an input module and a battery. The multipolar electrodes are obtained by batteries of alternating plates, forming anodes and cathodes. In one paired cavity of the housing there is an acid battery, and in the second, an alkaline one. The anodes and cathodes of these batteries are connected to the input of the VM through the input module, which excludes the mutual influence of the batteries. The control unit is designed with the ability to determine the voltage on the VM cascades and direct the permissible maximum of them for charging the battery, the output of which is connected to the downhole equipment through the voltage control unit.
EFFECT: proposed downhole power supply for downhole equipment makes it possible to work independently of the pH factor of the downhole fluid and use the fluctuations of the generated electric current to generate the necessary voltage for the operation of downhole equipment, while allowing it to be serviced in the field due to the absence of chemically active components inside the housing.
