FIELD: electrified railways; protection of neutral links of ac contact systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes measurement of voltage across buses and currents to the right and to the left of each sectionalizing station where measurements are made, as well as measurement of phase angle between this voltage and each of mentioned currents. Then conclusion is made on occurrence of short circuit across neutral link and on necessity of disconnecting sectionalizing station feeders directed toward neutral link separating zone under discussion from adjacent zone between substations supplied with leading voltage provided feeder current exceeds desired value or input resistance of traction network is below desired value and its phase angle lags behind voltage across sectionalizing station buses by minimum 70 electrical degrees and by maximum 180 electrical degrees; or on necessity of disconnecting sectionalizing station feeders directed toward neutral link separating zone under discussion from adjacent zone between substations fed by lagging voltage provided feeder current exceeds desired value or input resistance of traction network is below desired value and its phase angle is in advance of voltage across sectionalizing station buses by more than 20 electrical degrees or is lagging by maximum 15 electrical degrees.
EFFECT: facilitated procedure, reduced number of operations, shortened zone being disconnected, enhanced reliability due to eliminating malfunctions.
