FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding and relates to the operation of a sea-going ice navigation vessel. A sea-going vessel for ice navigation is proposed, including a hull with ice contours and ice reinforcement, a superstructure, a bow end formed by a stem with the surfaces of the sides connecting on it above the waterline level, made in its surface part with a rounding along the diametrical plane, with an inclination to the stern at section S along the length of the vessel, limited by the length of the side surfaces along the height H, and a propulsion system, the stem in its underwater part and in the contact zone with a continuous ice field has an angle of inclination to the waterline plane of at least 18° and forms a bow end connected to the hull, made with ice contours and ice reinforcements that meet the requirements for ships with a high ice class, and in its surface part has a section S, which is not more than 0.4 of the length of the vessel, and the length of the height H is not more than 0.95 of the height of the superstructure.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of operation of an ice-going sea vessel by improving its icebreaking ability, prevents damage to hull structures, as well as improves habitability by changing the overall characteristics of the stem.
