FIELD: spacecrafts.

SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to the formation of the architecture (composition and structure) of orbital constellations of spacecraft for Earth remote sensing (ERS). The method and system are based on an iterative parametric analysis of the target functioning of the onboard equipment and the ballistic parameters of the spacecraft constellation. Optimization of the spacecraft architecture is carried out according to efficiency criteria in the form of the minimum average frequency of observation of a given latitudinal-longitudinal section of the Earth's surface and the maximum information output (“income”) of the spacecraft onboard equipment when this spacecraft fulfill ERS requests, considering their priority and importance, as well as the quality of the survey.

EFFECT: more flexible optimization of the composition and structure of the spacecraft (mainly, already worked out), with the possibility of its automation in the "man-machine" complexes and considering the evolution of tasks and parameters of the spacecraft constellation.
