SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of obtaining Bi4Ge3O12 bismuth germanate for use as a starting material for growing pure and defect-free single crystals, in gamma spectroscopy, in the nuclear industry, in high-energy technology, in medicine, opto- and acoustoelectronics, high-energy physics. The method for producing Bi4Ge3O12 bismuth germanate by casting includes preliminary mechanical mixing of the initial powders of Bi2O3 bismuth oxide and GeO2 germanium oxide, heating the resulting mixture in a platinum crucible to 1200-1250°C with holding in this temperature range for 15-60 minutes, after which the resulting melt is poured onto a platinum substrate heated to 250±20°С.
EFFECT: invention ensures the production of pure bismuth germanate while reducing the time spent on its production.
