The device for automatic folding of the pantograph of the electric rolling stock in the emergency mode of the current collection is made with the possibility of integrating it into the lifting and lowering mechanism of the pantograph and contains a cable and a ratchet with a pawl, where one of the ends of the cable is attached to the ratchet pawl. The pantograph of the electric rolling stock includes a base, a lower frame with a cross member, an upper frame, a collector assembly, a lifting and lowering mechanism of the upper and lower frames, and a pantograph automatic folding device. The lower frame with the cross member is pivotally connected to the base and the lower link. The upper frame is pivotally connected to the lower frame and the upper link. The collector assembly is located on the upper frame, connected to the upper link and includes a skid mounted on carriages mounted on a bar with a beak. The lifting and lowering mechanism of the upper and lower frames includes an actuator, a spring and an involute connected to the spring through a chain.
