FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry, to devices for the plasma-chemical conversion of a gas or gas mixture in non-equilibrium corona discharge plasma. The device contains a dielectric discharge chamber with gas input and output windows for processed gas with the main multi-polar electrodes connected to an adjustable high-voltage power source, and an auxiliary corona electrode made in the form of fan blades. The blades of the auxiliary electrode rotate to form a bipolar corona discharge in the gap between the auxiliary electrode and the multipolar electrodes made in the form of two halves of the side surface of the cylinder with an insulating gasket between them, and the rotation shaft of the auxiliary corona electrode is installed coaxially with respect to the cylinder formed by the multipolar electrodes.
EFFECT: increase in the current of the corona electrode due to the use of a bipolar corona discharge and the elimination of the transition of the corona discharge into a spark discharge.
