FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engineering physics and can be used for ozonation of air and oxygen, solutions, ozone treatment of various objects in biology, medicine, agriculture and industry. Corona discharge ozone generator comprises two discharge electrodes arranged coaxially and made in the form of cylinders connected to a high-voltage source. Inner electrode rotates relative to external electrode and has on surface corona-forming elements in form of sprockets of conducting material. Internal electrode is divided into sections. Section is assembled from a set of single-type structural elements, for example in the form of a cylindrical insulating sleeve with a layer of ballast resistance applied on a part of its surface and a sprocket fitted on the bushing.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of the ozonizer operation due to built-in protection against transition of corona discharge into spark or arc, increase of total discharge current, increased reliability and resource of the ozonizer operation.
