FIELD: hygiene and sanitation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of medical or protective shoe covers intended for use in rooms to ensure they are clean or for sanitary and hygienic purposes in the practice of renting sports equipment. A medical or protective shoe cover, which is part of a paired set, is a protective cover, with the possibility of putting it on shoes or directly on the user's leg. This cover is made of at least one layer of thermoplastic synthetic material and, in its upper part, is provided with at least one resilient elastic band, which is located inside the flap formed by the fold of the upper edge of the protective cover. The edge of the specified edge along the entire perimeter of the flap is welded to the cover. Along this perimeter, with a step ranging from 5 mm to 20 mm, transverse, in relation to the braid, and intersecting welded seams are made, which fasten the braid with the cover and form air pockets with folds inside the lapel, in which there are separate non-fastened with a cover, the segments of the elastic band, which are in an unstretched state, with the possibility of their elastic stretching within the air pockets.
EFFECT: rupture of the elastic band does not lead to the shoe cover breaking out and falling off the user's leg. In addition, the specific pressure of the elastic band on the user's body is reduced.
