SUBSTANCE: method for removing an adhesive label from a roll, wherein the roll contains an end part and an outer surface, includes: providing the roll of a wound sheet sealed with the adhesive label placed on top of the end part of the wound sheet to attach it to the outer surface of the roll; finding the adhesive label; applying a suction force to the location of the adhesive label to separate the adhesive label and the end part of the wound sheet from the roll; and cutting off a part of the separated end part containing the adhesive label from the roll. A device for separating the adhesive label from the end part of the wound sheet in the roll is also proposed, wherein the adhesive label is located between the end part and the outer surface of the roll.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to increase overall production speed of a production line.
