SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and device for unwinding a roll, which can be used, in particular, in the field of production of strip material. Unwinding method includes steps of providing a roll of a wound sheet comprising a free sheet portion unwound from the roll, placing the blade between the free section of the sheet and the rest of the sheet wound in a roll so that the blade is in contact with the sheet wound into a roll, and vibration is imparted to the blade simultaneously with unwinding of the sheet from the roll. Uncoiling device comprises a roll holder, in which there is a roll of wound sheet, a blade, located opposite the roll holder and configured to be in contact with the roll-wound sheet and the vibration generator, connected to the blade and made with possibility to communicate the vibrations to the blade simultaneously with the sheet unwinding from the roll.

EFFECT: method and device enable roll winding from material having low tensile strength.
