FIELD: petroleum industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the petroleum industry and can be used to separate the products of petroleum boreholes into gas, petroleum and water, as well as to remove mechanical impurities and a proppant - granules used to seal cracks in case of hydraulic fracturing of the layer, entering the separation unit with the petroleum. The invention relates to a gas separator-sand catcher containing an inlet ascending inclined pipeline with a flow stabiliser in the form of a bundle of internal pipes. The inlet ascending pipeline is connected with an inlet vertical chamber in the form of a gas removal cap equipped with a gas outlet branch pipe and a central pipe with a screw swirler. The gas separator-sand catcher also comprises a separation container with a liquid outlet branch pipe wherein a package of plane-parallel plates is placed. The spiral of the screw swirler is located along the entire length of the central pipe. The body of the separator is inclined towards the liquid flow and is separated by a sand barrier divider separating the buffer area from the sedimentation area, located wherein is a package of plane-parallel plates with a deposition mirror with an area multiple of at least three areas of the mirror of the sedimentation area, each area along the lower generatrix is equipped with a sand-catching and silt-accumulating chamber with apparatuses for washing and removing the accumulated mechanical impurities, respectively. The distance between the inclined parallel plates is 30 to 40 mm.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of removal of abnormal volumes of gas and simultaneously sand and mechanical impurities before entering the BPS and PWDU, simplification of the design due to differentiation of the sedimentation and buffer separation areas in one container.
