SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods of preparing and performing surgical operations using mixed reality technology. To fix the marker holder 1 on the patient’s body when preparing and performing a surgical operation using mixed reality technology, the force of magnetic attraction between two interacting elements is used. One element from the pair 6 is fixed on the body of the patient 5. The second element of the pair is fixed on the holder so that when the holder is applied to the body, the position of the interacting elements coincides. Three pairs of such elements where at least one element of the pair is a source of the magnetic field are used. One of the elements of the pair is fixed on the patient’s body using temporary glue. The marker holder is additionally fixed on the patient's body using temporary glue applied between the holder body 2 and the patient's body.

EFFECT: accessibility of the surgical field is increased by improving the conditions for preparing and performing a surgical operation due to compactness, versatility and increased reliability of fixation.
