FIELD: foundry engineering.
SUBSTANCE: the method for manufacturing a ceramic mold for lost-wax casting includes the formation of a smelted model block, coating it in the form of a front and subsequent layers of refractory suspensions, sprinkling with granular electrocorundum, drying, removing the model and calcining the ceramic mold according to the regime that excludes the formation of α-cristobalite. The front layer is formed by a suspension containing, by wt. %: an acidic water-colloidal binder 21-23, a micro-powder of white electrocorundum fraction F360 56-60 and a micro-powder of white electrocorundum fraction F1000 or F1200 19-21, and dried for 2-3 hours on a conveyor at an air humidity of 50-55% and an air flow velocity of 0.5-1.0 m/s. The subsequent layers are formed with a suspension containing, by wt. %: a highly alkaline water-colloidal binder 51-55 and a disthen-sillimanite concentrate 45-49, and dried for 3-4 hours on a conveyor in a climatic chamber at an air humidity of 30-32% and an air flow velocity of 4.0-5.0 m/s. The final drying is carried out in the climatic chamber for at least 12 hours.
EFFECT: provides an increase in the survivability of suspensions, an increase in the quality of castings by reducing blockages, the possibility of automating the production of molds.
