FIELD: computing.
SUBSTANCE: technical solution generally relates to the field of computing, and in particular to quantum cryptography and means for quantum key distribution in an open space. The effect is achieved due to the implementation of the optical scheme of the receiver for quantum key distribution, comprising: a beam-splitting element located in front of two conjugate bases; wherein each basis contains: at least two detectors of single photons; polarizers installed in front of single photon detectors; and a beam-splitting element located in front of the polarizers, while the beam-splitting elements are made with equal division in transmission and deviation of 50% by 50%.
EFFECT: increasing reliability of the receiver for quantum key distribution by simplifying the design of the optical circuit.
