FIELD: navigation devices production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to balancing metal resonators of solid-state wave gyroscopes and can be used in the manufacture of various navigation devices. The effect is achieved due to the galvanic deposition of masses compensating for the imbalance on the surface of the resonator, obliquely immersed in an electrolyte with a low acid concentration. The claimed method for balancing a metal toothless resonator of a wave solid-state gyroscope includes measuring the unbalanced mass, namely, the parameters of the first four forms of a mass defect in the resonator, immersing the resonator in a bath with electrolyte and passing a calculated electric charge through its surface, the value of which is controlled by the time and the amount of direct current transmission. The cylindrical resonator is dipped obliquely into the electrolyte, the value of the central angle of the cylindrical wedge of the immersed part is set equal to 2a, and the orientation of the processed surface of the cylindrical wedge is shifted relative to the orientation of the form of mass defect to be eliminated.
EFFECT: invention improves accuracy of the process of balancing toothless metal cylindrical resonators according to the first 4 forms of mass defect and to increase the safety of production personnel.
