FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to balancing of quartz hemispherical cavities of solid-state fibre gyroscopes and can be used in production of navigation devices for various purposes. Method of balancing quartz hemispherical resonator solid-state wave gyroscope on predetermined values of parameters of first four forms mass defect resonator consists in fact that quartz hemispherical resonator with radius R is set to position where its symmetry axis is horizontal, and single zero circumferential angle is located in lower position, turned resonator around axis of symmetry at an angle Δφ relative to common zero circumferential angle and in this position partially submerged resonator in etching solution by installing double zenith angle of spherical segment of machined surface 2α, and it is followed by chemical etching during time t.

EFFECT: reduced time and labour intensity of balancing process quartz hemispherical resonators at first 4 forms of mass defect.
