FIELD: gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing synthesis gas. The method for producing synthesis gas, consisting mainly of carbon monoxide and hydrogen, wherein acid gases are removed from it, based on hydrocarbon-containing fuel, as well as based on air and steam, includes following stages: a) fractionation of air by low-temperature rectification to obtain oxygen flow, tail gas flow and nitrogen flow, where tail gas flow and nitrogen flow have an ambient temperature, and nitrogen flow is under pressure, b) conversion of hydrocarbon-containing fuel at increased pressure and increased temperature by oxygen flow obtained at stage a) and steam into synthesis gas, c) removal of acid gases from synthesis gas obtained at stage b) by means of low-temperature absorption in an absorption column with liquid absorbent, d) cooling of the absorbent used at stage c) to the low temperature required for low-temperature absorption by means of a compression refrigeration unit, where the compression refrigeration unit contains a refrigerant circuit, in which the refrigerant is compressed, as a result of which it is heated, and cooled and condensed during subsequent heat exchange with cooling water, e) cooling of cooling water before its heat exchange with the refrigerant at stage d) by evaporative cooling, while evaporative cooling at stage e) is carried out by tail gas flow obtained at stage a) and/or throttled nitrogen flow obtained at stage a).

EFFECT: reduced energy for compressing the refrigerant.
