FIELD: metal pipe production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of hot-formed thin-walled pipe products made of titanium and titanium alloys. Pipe products are manufactured in two stages of hot deformation. At the first stage, the solid ingot is deformed by forging, rolling and their combination at a heating temperature for deformation 20-150°C above the polymorphic transformation temperature, cut into parts. After that, a central hole is made to obtain a pipe billet. At the second stage, the pipe billet is heated with a billet installed in its center, the diameter of which is smaller than the inner diameter of the pipe billet, taking into account thermal expansion, to a temperature 20-150°C below the polymorphic transformation temperature. After that, they are moved to the press and the deformation is carried out by extrusion.
EFFECT: thin-walled pipe products are made of titanium and titanium alloys with a ratio of the outer diameter to the wall thickness equal to 12.5 or more, having high operational properties.
