FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to a method for the treatment or improvement of the condition with muscular weakness in a human patient suffering from muscular weakness or with a tendency to its occurrence. The method for the treatment or improvement of the condition with muscular weakness in a human patient suffering from muscular weakness or with a tendency to its occurrence includes injection to the specified patient of therapeutically effective amount of alkaline phosphatase, which is at least 95% identical to SEQ ID NO:1, where the patient has an increased concentration of pyrophosphate (PPi), and where the patient: has not previously been diagnosed with hypophosphatasia (hereinafter – HPP); has HPP and no other symptoms related to HPP; or has not HPP and has muscular weakness or a tendency to its development.
EFFECT: above-described method for the treatment allows for reduction of pyrophosphate concentration and effective treatment or improvement of the condition with muscular weakness in a human patient.
