FIELD: disposal of solid waste.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of public services, namely to automated monitoring of the state of filling of the hopper of a garbage truck during transportation of waste, monitoring of the movement of the vehicle, and determining the location thereof. The method for monitoring the filling rate and location of the garbage truck consists in installing a filling rate control apparatus used as part of a software and hardware complex for optimising collection and removal of solid municipal waste, configuring said apparatus, forming measurement results, and transmitting the data to a remote server for further processing. The filling rate control apparatus is installed inside the hopper of the garbage truck opposite the rear side of the ejecting plate thereof. Upon the first start, the apparatus is initialised, the reference distance from the initial to the final position of the ejecting plate is determined. The data is sent to a microcomputer for further transmission to the remote server, and the position of the ejecting plate is recorded in the automatic mode during further operation. If the data on the initial and the final position of the plate matches the previous values, the measurement is repeated, if the data differs, then messages for the remote server about the initial and final position of the plate, the start and end time of the movement thereof, start to be formed in the microcomputer. After the plate is stopped, the message for the server continues to be formed. The current geolocation data is therein requested from the transceiver communication module to the microcomputer, the message is completed and transmitted back to the transceiver module to be transmitted to the remote server. The filling rate control apparatus of a hopper of a garbage truck includes a sensor for measuring the distance of the position of the ejecting plate of the garbage truck, a microcomputer with software, and a transceiver communication module, installed in the body thereof and interconnected by duplex communication lines.

EFFECT: technical result achieved therein consists in increasing the efficiency of use of garbage trucks.
