FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: plastic filler material is intended for surfacing on a nickel-based superalloy. The additive material contains the following elements, by wt. %: 11.0-15.5 chromium, 9.5-11.0 cobalt, 2.0-5.0 molybdenum, 4.5-7.5 tungsten, 1.5-2.6 tantalum, 3.0 - 5.0 aluminum, 0.4 - 1.0 titanium, ≤ 0.1 carbon, ≤ 1.2 hafnium, other chemical elements in trace amounts, the rest is nickel. In accordance with the proposed method, the said additive material is applied to the surface of a nickel-based superalloy substrate. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the filler material is close to the coefficient of thermal expansion of the substrate. Thermal energy is introduced to melt the filler material and surfacing is performed at ambient temperature, ensuring solidification of the molten filler material.
EFFECT: plastic material deposited on the specified substrate can significantly improve weldability of nickel-based superalloys.
