The method includes determining the content of apolipoprotein A-1 in the blood serum and calculating the value of the discriminant function according to the formula.

EFFECT: method is distinguished by convenience and ease of use, the possibility of routine use using just one laboratory analysis, allows to assess the risk of the presence of initial calcification of the aortic valve in patients 60 years of age and older at the hospital and outpatient stages, to choose the optimal tactics for further observation of each individual patient and can be used in polyclinics and multidisciplinary medical institutions for screening a large population of elderly and senile people, as well as for testing individual patients in order to identify individuals at risk of aortic valve calcification.
