FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used to diagnose colon cancer by administering a radiopharmaceutical agent (RPA) followed by scintigraphic studies. The patient is injected intravenously at a dose of 500 MBq RPA based on a technetium-99m-labeled glucose derivative. RPA is prepared immediately before use according to laboratory regulations, for which 4 ml of a solution of sodium pertechnetate Na99mTcO4 with a volumetric activity of 125 MKb/ml from a generator under aseptic conditions is injected with a syringe into a vial with a reagent. If necessary, the eluate is preliminarily diluted with isotonic sodium chloride solution to the required volumetric activity. The contents of the vial are mixed by shaking and incubated at room temperature for 30 minutes until the reagent is completely dissolved. Further, 40-120 minutes after the intravenous administration of the drug, single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) is performed on a two-detector gamma camera in a standard mode. The images obtained during the study are subjected to post-processing processing. During the examination, the patient is placed on the table of the gamma camera in the "supine" position. In the field of view of the gamma camera detectors, the abdominal cavity and the pelvic area should fall. The resulting images are subjected to post-processing computer processing. When visualizing asymmetric areas of RPA hyperfixation in the projection of the colon, a malignant neoplasm is diagnosed.
EFFECT: the method provides detection of colon cancer.
