SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. The method for functioning of a wireless device contains the definition of one or more parameters of a group of resource blocks (RBG) for interpreting the distribution of frequency domain resources for the first DCI format. The RBG parameters are either the RBG scaling factors or the RBG dimensions and regulate the granularity of the frequency domain resource allocation for the first DCI format, so that the size of the first DCI format is aligned with the size of the second DCI format. The method contains the reception of a DCI having the first DCI format, and the interpretation of the resource allocation of the DCI frequency domain in accordance with one or more RBG parameters.

EFFECT: ensuring the alignment of the size of the downlink control information (DCI) format between the first DCI format and the second DCI format.
