The display element is controlled in accordance with the bit sequence provided for the corresponding specified period of time. The bit sequence includes the corresponding subsequence of bits of different significance for each color. Moreover, neither the first bit of each corresponding subsequence nor the last bit of each corresponding subsequence is the most significant bit of the corresponding subsequence. The display device is controlled in accordance with the first group of bits, in the storage device, during the first part of the specified time period and in accordance with the second group of bits during the second part of the specified time period, the bit sequence being a sequence of the specified groups of bits.
EFFECT: invention reduces color artifacts and depth of focus.
