FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: optical apparatus for forming an emitted electromagnetic wave from an incident electromagnetic wave is comprised of at least one single element comprised of at least two sub-wavelength optical elements, wherein each of said elements belongs to a different set of sub-wavelength optical elements characterised by the type of optical response to an incident electromagnetic wave, a nanofluidic microlens for selective excitation of all sub-wavelength optical elements belonging to a selected set when an electromagnetic wave hits said single element. The sub-wavelength optical elements are located in the focal plane of said nanofluidic microlens.
EFFECT: reduction in dimensions and weight, an increase in the image quality and the provided no less than two different optical functions for at least two different illumination conditions.
