METHOD FOR BREAKING THE ICE COVER Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC B63B35/08

Abstract RU 2755421 C1

FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, in particular to underwater vessels, floating in ice conditions and destroying the ice cover by the resonance method when they emerge in solid ice. A method for destruction of the ice cover by an underwater vessel is proposed, which consists in the excitation of flexural-gravitational waves in the ice when the vessel moves under the ice at a resonant speed. During the movement of the vessel, the boundary layer of the liquid in the upper part of the ship's skin is additionally blown off using a pump located inside the vessel in the water flow channel. The water intake part of the channel is located at the bow of the vessel, and the channel outlet is located at the location of the flexural-gravitational wave base. The deflation of the boundary layer of the liquid is carried out periodically with a frequency equal to the frequency of resonant flexural-gravitational waves for a time equal to half the period of these waves.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of breaking the ice cover.
